The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions towards the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency reported it's alarmed about the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to website reach-out to the large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The assistance issue produced for intervention activities a high influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend status sassa to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
